about

Stealing people from their families and cultures to be enslaved in the "new world" to build the economy. And through the generations, rules and rights change for Blacks. White privilege or minority disadvantage continues through the generations. This song shifts the blame where it belongs - the upholders of White supremacy.

The cover art is the whipping wall in Willemsted, Curacao. Enslaved peoples kidnapped from African were tied to it and beaten into submission while forced to recite bible passages until they were "trained & sale ready" for the other islands and the United States. Ironically, White Supremacists would do well to internalize this mantra.

lyrics

Take me from the land I love
Make me toil for free
Make the White man richer
Steal my loves from Me

Take the chains from around my limbs
Pretend to set me free
Put the chains around my heart
Drive me to my knees

The problem is the White mans'
It is he who will not see
It is he who takes pleasure
In destroying me.

It is the white mans' indifference
It's his own apathy
Towards the white racists
That's crucifying me

The White man he gets richer
As he steals the Black man's pride
Shoots Black kids on the streets
And smirks while Momma cries

The White man jails the Black Man
For selling a little pot
While the white man gets richer
Selling percs and oxycot

The Black man is not the problem
As you can clearly see,
Only the White man
Knows who's underneath Dem Sheets

The problem is the White man
His sense of superiority
Entitlement and privilege makes him think
That he is better than me.

It's not a racial problem
As they would have you believe
It is a White mans' problem
To deal with reality

It's not a Black Mans' problem,
Don't lay the blame on me,
Deal with your own folks
And let my People Be!
